What the IP Range Calculator Does

The IP Range Calculator works out the numbers behind an IPv4 network. Type a CIDR block such as 192.168.1.0/24 and the page shows the network address, the broadcast address, the first and last usable host, how many addresses the block holds, the dotted subnet mask and the wildcard mask — all computed in your browser. A single address is shown as a /32 host block. Type a range such as 10.0.0.1 - 10.0.0.99 to see how many addresses it contains, which single CIDR block covers it, and how the range splits into exact CIDR blocks for firewall or routing rules. A second field divides any block into smaller subnets. The page handles IPv4 only: it does not look up owners or locations and it sends nothing to a server.
